Louise King is invited to tutor CELLO in the String Workshops presented by Australian Chamber Orchestra during their national and regional tour. Students become part of the ACO for a day, learning rehearsal and performance techniques. Workshops are held annually in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra. Thematically structured rehearsals and tutorials are based around concepts such as listening, leading, breathing, blending and performance style. Students from different schools combine to form a chamber orchestra with ACO players leading each section. Each workshop culminates in an informal performance for family and friends. String workshops are free of charge and run for three hours.
